Surprise and Wonder informances took place at the John Campbell Elementary School for 4rth, 5th and 1st grade classes.  Many thanks to Sheryl Fairchild and Dana Jones for making this possible!!  A great time was had by all!

Nancy presented Surprise & Wonder informances at three Oregon schools in May 2011.  Included on her tour were The Lighthouse School in North Bend, The Highland Elementary School in Reedsport and Myrtle Crest Elementary in Myrtle Crest.  She presented a wonderful array of instruments and sounds in small settings to over 300 students in two days.  In addition she gave a community presentation at the Reedsport library.  She is very grateful to her sponsors Joe Coyne and Sally Huntley for providing this…

Mrs. Handelman's kindergarten class at Roosevelt Elementary School enjoyed a Surprise & Wonder visit with Nancy in April 2011.  After learning about a variety of instruments, the kids enjoyed emerging from seeds into trees while feeling music grow within themselves.  Their session was completed with the creation of rattles they designed and filled with the contents of their choice (lentils, garbanzos, pinto beans or rice)! 

Nancy presented a full day of Surprise and Wonder activities at the Braun Station Elementary school in San Antonio.  Her classes ranged from kindergarten to 5th grade.  Many thanks to excellent music teacher who gave her this opportunity: Bette Richards.

I had a wonderful day presenting Surprise & Wonder informances at the Green Mountain School in southern Washington.  What a fantastic school!!  The students were terrific and the setting is just gorgeous.  We had a great time learning about music, amazing instruments and how they each make their sounds.
